THE WINE

Wine made with Sangiovese grapes, it expresses without distortion what the land brings with it. It is the fruit of low yields per vine, an accurate selection of the grapes during the harvest, spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts and no addition of sulphur. The result is the fruit in the glass, an explosion of intense aromas and flavours that are confirmed on the palate, giving unique sensations.

FOOD PAIRING

It pairs well with Mora Romagnola cold cuts with stone ground spelled flour bread, and also with handmade tagliatelle with hare and wild juniper sauce.

VINIFICATION

Una vendemmia calda e precoce con temperature mediamente più alte della consuetudine e con poche precipitazioni, ma senza particolari squilibri vegeto-produttivi: clima dunque ideale per le esigenze agronomiche del Sangiovese. Uve sanissime e molto zuccherine, grande densità dei mosti e si è annunciato già un vino poderoso alla svinatura. Vino che nel tempo anziché flettere ed incupirsi riuscirà piano piano a prendere il volo, portando in superficie i caratteri più sapidi dell’uva e del Terroir. Forse uno dei millesimi più completi.

DEL TESORO VINEYARDS

This wine is born in the areas of Massa di Vecchiazzano and Predappio, in the DOC area of Predappio, from soils of a very different nature. The vineyards enjoy a mild climate due to the nearby presence of the sea, the constant breezes mitigate the summer heat and the rigors of winter clean the sky and keep the insolation index high. To the North, in the lower part, the soils are more generous of a silty-clayey nature. The higher areas are characterized by a rather variable soil that ranges from the clay-limestone matrix to that of an alluvial character, both ideal for the cultivation of Sangiovese. Here it emerges how the grape-soil interaction plays a different role in the final result of wines in different vintages.
